  • AB 1916 was signed into law by Governor Newsom
  • Appears to be a modest bill – but this could be one of the most important changes for self storage in California
  • When a tenant is terminated for non-monetary reasons (i.e. sleeping in space, unruly behavior, etc.) – this new law provides streamlined relief to vacate their belongings, without filing for unlawful detainer
